As of midnight on the 7th, the Seoul Metropolitan Government announced that the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Seoul increased by 33 from the previous day, bringing the total cumulative cases to 5,443.
The daily number of confirmed cases in Seoul had decreased after recording 51 cases on September 29 (as of midnight on the 30th), with 30 cases on September 30, 11 on October 1, and 26 on October 2. From October 3 to 5, the numbers remained between 15 and 19, but on this day, it exceeded 30 again.
Among the new confirmed cases on this day, five were related to a door-to-door sales company in Yeongdeungpo-gu, classified as a new cluster infection. So far, seven people connected to this company have tested positive.
Additionally, three more cases related to Dana Hospital in Dobong-gu were confirmed (total 50), along with one more case each related to a hospital in Seocho-gu (total 3), Daewoo Dioville Plus in Gangnam-gu (total 29), LG Twin Towers in Yeongdeungpo-gu (total 7), and Buk Seoul Dream Church in Gangbuk-gu (total 6).
There were four new cases related to overseas contact, six cases from contact with confirmed patients in other cities or provinces, two cases from other infection routes, and nine cases with infection routes under investigation.
So far, 4,736 people in Seoul have recovered and been discharged, while 646 are currently receiving isolation treatment.
