[Special Stock] ChemTros Secures Patent for Enhancing Lithium-Ion Secondary Battery Stability and Lifespan...Improved Electrolyte Additive Function
[Asia Economy Reporter Hyungsoo Park] Kemtros stock price is on the rise.
At 9:12 AM on the 7th, Kemtros was trading at 7,740 KRW, up 25.24% from the previous day.
The day before, Kemtros announced that it had obtained a patent related to the manufacturing method of lithium difluorobis(oxalato)phosphate.
The company explained that the patent concerns a method for producing LDFOP, which is highly effective for high-temperature stability among secondary battery electrolyte additives. By adding and reacting methyltrichlorosilane (MeSiCl3) with lithium hexafluorophosphate and oxalic acid, the chemical selectivity for LDFOP is very high, enabling efficient and industrial production of high-purity LDFOP.

This is a manufacturing method for a substance that, when added to the electrolyte, prevents rapid heating of the battery, thereby improving battery stability. Kemtros expects that adding it to lithium-ion secondary battery electrolytes for energy storage systems (ESS) and electric vehicles (EV) will enhance battery stability and lifespan.
