Mokpo National Maritime University Provides Special Scholarship for COVID-19
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Seo Young-seo] Mokpo National Maritime University (President Park Seong-hyun) announced on the 6th that, after conducting a survey of enrolled students and gathering opinions from university members, it paid the 2020 academic year 'COVID-19 Special Scholarship' to enrolled students on the 29th of last month.
The recipients were students who paid tuition for the first semester and whose first semester grades were finalized. Out of a total of 1,657 students, 1,449 received the first installment of scholarships amounting to approximately 215 million won, and the remaining students who had not registered their account information are scheduled to receive the second installment at the end of October.
President Park Seong-hyun said, "We empathize with the difficulties students face due to non-face-to-face classes amid COVID-19 and hope this helps alleviate their financial burdens even a little."
