Prime Minister Jeong Orders "Mobilize All Personnel and Equipment for Search of Missing Middle School Student in Dadaepo"
[Asia Economy Reporter Kwangho Lee] Prime Minister Chung Sye-kyun gave an urgent order on the 6th regarding the accident at Dadaepo Beach in Busan, where one middle school student died and another went missing, stating, "The Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries, the National Fire Agency, the National Police Agency, and local governments including Busan City must mobilize all available personnel and equipment to do their utmost in searching for the missing person."
Prime Minister Chung also said, "As casualties caused by surge waves have been recurring recently, threatening public safety, related ministries such as the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries, the Coast Guard, the Korea Meteorological Administration, and the National Fire Agency should strengthen surveillance activities to prevent further casualties along the coast due to surge waves and respond promptly with rescue and first aid activities in case of accidents."
