Seongjeon-myeon, Gangjin-gun Wins Bronze in Happy Farming Village Contest
Contributing to Community Harmony through Efficient Facility Management and Revitalization of Club Activities
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-su] Gangjin-gun, Jeonnam (Governor Lee Seung-ok) announced on the 5th that Seongjeon-myeon received the bronze prize in the regional development project category at the 7th Happy Rural Making Contest hosted by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs.
The Happy Rural Making Contest is an evaluation of the operational performance of rural central area development projects, hosted by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs and organized by the Korea Rural Community Corporation to promote community harmony through efficient facility management and revitalization of club activities.
The county passed the Jeonnam provincial preliminary round and advanced to the final contest through document screening and on-site inspection by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, achieving this result.
The Seongjeon-myeon rural central area revitalization project has been promoting projects such as the Happy Culture Center, Open Learning Center, Joint Childcare Cafe, and Shared Parking Lot within the myeon area from 2015 to 2018, and is being operated solidly as spaces for childcare, Nanta, dance, drone, and film screenings.
In particular, in this evaluation, the fact that residents voluntarily participate and all age groups from infants to elementary school students, housewives, and adults efficiently use the facilities was highly praised.
