Songpa-gu Hosts 'Online Job Fair'... Recruiting from Naver System, Coupang, and More
From the 5th, three weeks of online industrial exhibitions, job special lectures, and resume consulting
[Asia Economy Reporter Jong-il Park] Songpa-gu (Mayor Park Seong-su) will hold the ‘2020 Songpa-gu Online Job Fair’ from the 5th to the 23rd to support residents who are struggling to find jobs due to COVID-19.
At this fair, about 60 excellent companies in Songpa-gu, including Coupang Fulfillment Service, Bogo New Drug, and Naver Systems, plan to recruit 397 talents.
Considering the COVID-19 situation, the recruitment process will be conducted in a hybrid form of online and offline.
First, participants can easily check job information of excellent companies through the online recruitment hall. After signing up and registering a resume on the fair’s dedicated website, applicants can directly apply online to their desired companies.
Interviews will be divided into autonomous interviews by companies and on-site interviews. Especially, on-site interviews will be held from the 16th to the 20th at the Songpa-gu Office auditorium for 12 companies, targeting job seekers and recruiting companies who find online interviews difficult. Considering the COVID-19 situation, interviews will be conducted in dispersed groups of four companies each, with 1:1 video or face-to-face interviews between job seekers and HR managers of recruiting companies.
Along with this, the district will also provide various employment support programs online.
The ‘Munjeong Biz Valley Specialized Online Industrial Exhibition,’ introducing excellent products from companies located in Munjeong Biz Valley, will be showcased through the fair’s dedicated website.
Visitors can encounter recently spotlighted 4th industrial revolution products such as the world’s first IoT convergence technology-based automatic nail art stickers and smartphone lighting cases.
Additionally, on the 14th, live broadcasts of the ‘Special Lecture on Recruitment Market Trends Changed by COVID-19’ and the ‘Special Lecture on Rising Jobs in the Korean New Deal Era’ will be held via Job Korea TV.
From the 7th to the 30th, ten sessions of mock interviews, cover letter and resume consulting conducted by current employees of companies will be provided. Participants can hear vivid on-site stories from professionals working at IBM Korea, Hyundai Home Shopping, Samsung Electronics, and others.
Moreover, during the fair period, the district will offer various experiences and services online, including resume consulting, AI and VR interview experiences, MBTI and job preference tests, image consulting, and free rental of interview suits.
Any job seeker can participate through the dedicated website during the fair period. Middle-aged and older job seekers who find online use relatively difficult can apply by visiting the Songpa Job Center (1st floor of Songpa-gu Integrated Job Support Center) or the Munjeong Biz Valley Job Hub Center.
