Report Safety Hazards on Autumn Hiking Trails and Campsites via 'Safe Sinmungo'!
October-November Intensive Reporting Period... Mobile Coupon Giveaway Through Event
[Asia Economy Reporter Jo In-kyung] The Ministry of the Interior and Safety has designated the period until the 30th of next month as the "Intensive Reporting Period for Preventing Safety Accidents in Autumn" and urged the public on the 4th to actively report safety hazards through the Safety Report Center.
The Safety Report Center is a system where anyone can report safety hazards around their daily life by taking photos or videos. Since its launch in September 2014, more than 2.86 million safety reports have been received.
To prevent safety accidents and promote safety reporting, the Ministry operates "Intensive Reporting Periods for Safety Hazards" during the National Safety Inspection period and seasonal times such as spring and summer. During this autumn intensive reporting period, reports can be made on all safety hazards in daily life, including risks at campsites, amusement parks, hiking trails, falling rocks, road and trail damage, wildfire and fire risks, and illegal parking.
Reported cases are assigned to relevant agencies by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety for prompt handling, and the results are notified to the reporters via text messages or other means.
The Ministry explained that over the past four years, an average of 80,000 reports per autumn (October to November), totaling over 330,000 safety reports, have helped improve safety hazards and prevent various safety accidents in advance.
During this intensive reporting period, mobile coupons and other rewards will be given through events such as the "Autumn Safety Reporting Event" and the "Selection of the 3 Millionth Safety Reporter" to encourage participation in safety reporting.
