The area with the most drunk driving accidents in Seoul is 'Gangnam'... Kyobo Tower Intersection has the highest number
[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Eun-young] Over the past five years, the area in Seoul with the highest number of drunk driving traffic accidents has been identified as the Gangnam district. In particular, the location with the most incidents was reported to be the Kyobo Tower Intersection in Banpo-dong, Seocho-gu.
According to data received by Kim Young-bae, a member of the National Assembly's Public Administration and Security Committee from the Korea Road Traffic Authority on the 3rd, from 2015 to 2019, the place in Seoul where drunk driving traffic accidents occurred most frequently was near the Kyobo Tower Intersection in Banpo-dong, Seocho-gu, with a total of 62 accidents.
This was followed by 46 accidents near Eulji Hospital Intersection in Sinsa-dong, Gangnam-gu; 45 accidents near Gangnam Station in Seocho-dong, Seocho-gu; 44 accidents near Seolleung Station in Yeoksam-dong, Gangnam-gu; and 43 accidents near Seogyo-dong Intersection in Mapo-gu.
During the same period, the number of casualties from drunk driving traffic accidents was highest near Gangnam Station, with 106 people (1 death and 105 injuries).
Next were 97 people near Eulji Hospital Intersection, 92 near Kyobo Tower Intersection, 90 near Seogyo-dong Intersection, and 83 near Seolleung Station. It is known that no fatal accidents occurred at these locations.
