[Asia Economy Reporter Hanah Na] It was confirmed on the 3rd that the Chuseok special concert video of the legendary singer Na Hoon-a, which does not have a 'replay' service, is being blatantly distributed illegally in China.
KBS arranged an emergency special broadcast that evening, and the Na Hoon-a concert does not have a replay service domestically.
According to Jo Myung-hee, a member of the National Assembly's Science, Technology, Information and Broadcasting Communications Committee from the People Power Party, the entire video of ‘2020 Hangawi Grand Project Korea Again Na Hoon-a,’ which aired on KBS 2TV on the 30th of last month, can be found playing on bilibili, a Chinese site known as the Chinese version of YouTube.
Rep. Jo pointed out, "There have been frequent cases of copyright infringement by Chinese broadcasters on Korean broadcast programs."
According to data from the Korea Creative Content Agency, from 2016 to the first half of this year, 20 cases of format plagiarism and copying were confirmed for 18 Korean entertainment programs, and as many as 19 of these occurred in China.
