The special quarantine measures are being promoted to prevent the introduction of avian influenza into the country in advance due to the occurrence of livestock diseases in neighboring countries such as China and the arrival of wild migratory birds in winter.
First, the city plans to jointly conduct surveillance of livestock infectious diseases with autonomous districts and establish a livestock quarantine situation room to maintain a 24-hour emergency contact system with livestock farms at all times.
In addition, to block the introduction of livestock infectious diseases, the city plans to continuously supply disinfectants for farmhouses and livestock facilities, support farm disinfection through joint control teams, and conduct inspections and surveillance of livestock farms through dedicated public officials.
In particular, since vaccination is crucial to blocking the occurrence of foot-and-mouth disease, a mass vaccination of all cattle and goats against foot-and-mouth disease will be conducted this month, and monitoring tests will be promoted next month to check for antibody formation.
