Namhae Expressway Sacheon Rest Area (Busan Direction), Mobile Phone Authentication Visitor Management System 'Positive Response'
Sacheon City Introduced Development System in June... "Faster and More Efficient Than QR Code Entry Logs"
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Choi Hyun-joo] Korea Expressway Corporation's Sacheon Rest Area on the Namhae Expressway in the Busan direction announced on the 2nd that it has introduced a 'Visitor Management System' developed by the local government in charge to more quickly and effectively secure and manage entry information related to the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
The Sacheon Rest Area in the Busan direction, following the strengthened quarantine measures for the Chuseok holiday starting on the 29th of last month, has switched all food services to 'takeout' (packaged sales) and is securing customers' contact information through the so-called 'Sacheon-type Visitor Management System.' The policy prohibiting indoor food consumption at the rest facilities will be maintained until the last day of the holiday, the 4th.
This system, developed by Sacheon City in June, is designed to be easier to use for vulnerable groups such as the elderly compared to the government-type QR code method. When customers enter their mobile phone number and verification code into the visitor management system along with a temperature check at the building entrance, the information is stored by each business site.

A rest area official stated, "We have established and are operating a system that requires all visitors entering indoor areas such as restaurants and restrooms to wear masks and undergo temperature checks," adding, "All employees are doing their utmost to ensure that no small gaps occur in the quarantine system." They conveyed the atmosphere on site.
