4 More COVID-19 Deaths in Seoul and Gyeonggi... Cumulative Deaths Reach 420
[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Sehee] COVID-19 infections continue in various places including the Seoul metropolitan area. As a result, 4 more deaths were reported on the 2nd.
The Central Disease Control Headquarters (CDCH) announced that as of 6 p.m. on the 2nd, the total number of COVID-19 deaths reached 420.
This is an increase of 4 deaths compared to the 416 deaths recorded as of midnight that day. According to the CDCH, the deaths occurred with 2 in Seoul and 2 in Gyeonggi Province.
In Seoul, a 78-year-old man who was confirmed positive on the 12th of last month and was receiving treatment at the National Medical Center passed away on this day. Another 78-year-old man hospitalized at the same hospital also died on this day.
In Gyeonggi Province, a 71-year-old man who was confirmed positive on August 22 and was receiving treatment at Bundang Seoul National University Hospital, and a 101-year-old man hospitalized at Gyeonggi Provincial Medical Center Anseong Hospital, were reported to have died.
