Jeju Coast Guard Urgently Transfers Crew Member Complaining of Abdominal Pain During Fishing Operation

According to Jeju Maritime Police Station, around 11 a.m. the previous day, a foreign crew member of Indonesian nationality on a nearshore gillnet fishing vessel registered in Chuja (with 14 people on board) complained of abdominal pain while fishing 111 kilometers west of Chagwido and requested urgent transport to Jeju Maritime Police.
In response, Jeju Maritime Police dispatched a large patrol vessel patrolling the nearby waters, approached vessel A around 3 p.m., boarded the patient, and continuously monitored the patient's condition using a remote emergency medical system while arriving at Hallim Port.
Then, a coastal rescue boat waiting nearby received the patient from the patrol vessel and safely handed over the patient to the 119 ambulance team around 7:59 p.m.
