60-Year-Old Man Kills Brother-in-Law with a Weapon on First Day of Holiday
[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Choi Eun-young] On the first day of the Chuseok holiday, the 20th, a man in his 60s, Mr. A, who killed his brother-in-law while drinking together in Asan, was arrested. It is also known that Mr. A's sister was stabbed and is undergoing treatment.
According to the Asan Police Station, around 12:18 PM on the 30th, Mr. A, in his late 60s, was urgently arrested on suspicion of killing his brother-in-law by wielding a weapon.
The sister who was with them at the scene was also stabbed and transported to Daejeon University Hospital.
The police stated that Mr. A, his brother-in-law, and Mr. A's sister were together at the scene, and it is presumed that the sister and her husband visited Mr. A before Chuseok and drank together.
The police said they responded to a report of a "serious argument" and urgently arrested Mr. A at the scene.
