On the 29th (local time), Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, WHO Director-General, said on his Twitter, "As families gather this week to celebrate Chuseok, I thank BTS's J-Hope for reminding BTS ARMY (BTS fan club) to wear masks."
He added, "I hope everyone celebrates health, luck, and success," and said, "Happy Chuseok! Please stay safe and healthy!"
Meanwhile, on September 3rd (local time), Director-General Tedros also tweeted, "Thank you to BTS's J-Hope for reminding us to wear masks and being a role model for ARMY and the world," and said, "Let's follow the Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 artist. Wear your mask over your nose. Fighting!"
Additionally, he referred to a video from a non-face-to-face press conference commemorating BTS's Billboard Hot 100 No. 1, released on September 2nd, where member Jimin said, "For COVID-19 to end quickly, everyone must unite and help responsibly. Mindset is important."
Posting the video, he said, "As Jimin said, if everyone is together, we can end this pandemic," and added, "Thank you for delivering a message that heals patients and medical staff with good music. Congratulations on reaching No. 1 on the Billboard chart."
Meanwhile, BTS's English new song 'Dynamite' surpassed 400 million views on its official music video around 10:40 PM on the 25th. This is a record achieved about 35 days after its release on YouTube at 1 PM on the 21st of last month.
