Three Confirmed COVID-19 Cases in Gwangju on the Eve of the Full-Scale Chuseok Holiday

According to Gwangju Metropolitan City on the 30th, following the confirmation of COVID-19 in a woman in her 30s and a woman in her 20s the previous day, an additional man in his 30s was confirmed positive and classified as case number 495.
He is a resident of Dongnim-dong, Buk-gu, and was identified as a contact of the previously confirmed case number 493.
The infection routes of cases 493 and 494 have not yet been identified.
This is the first occurrence of locally transmitted confirmed cases in Gwangju in seven days since two cases were reported on the 22nd.
Among the 495 confirmed patients, 477 have recovered and been discharged, and three have died. Fifteen patients are currently undergoing isolation treatment.
A total of 150,258 people have been tested, with 149,498 testing negative, and 265 awaiting test results.
