[Breaking] Kim Jong-un Presides Over Party Politburo Meeting... No Mention of 'Civil Servant Shooting Death'
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Ga-yeon] North Korean State Affairs Commission Chairman Kim Jong-un presided over a Workers' Party Political Bureau meeting but discussed issues such as emergency COVID-19 prevention measures without mentioning the 'civil servant shooting death' incident.
On the 30th, the Korean Central News Agency reported that Chairman Kim held the Political Bureau meeting at the Party Central Committee headquarters building the previous day and "pointed out a series of shortcomings arising in the efforts to prevent the spread of the malignant virus (COVID-19)."
It added, "Relevant issues regarding the need to implement the national emergency prevention measures more intensively were studied and discussed in depth."
Additionally, the Political Bureau reviewed party and state projects conducted in celebration of the 75th anniversary of the Party's founding on the 10th of next month, as well as disaster recovery issues, and also discussed 'organizational (personnel) matters.'
