On July 24, the council agreed to develop drone-related industry-academia cooperation-friendly technical education programs, strengthen employment and entrepreneurship education capabilities, hold joint drone technology symposiums, and establish cooperative systems among drone companies between the four LINC+ project groups and Mongolian National University.
This marks the first step toward the common goal of nurturing drone technology personnel, a key technology complex of the 4th Industrial Revolution.
Jo Dae-su, head of Dongseo University LINC+ Project Group, was appointed as the inaugural chairman of the council.
At Dongseo University LINC+ Project Group, excellent talent has been intensively cultivated by selecting 4th Industrial Revolution items that leverage the region's characteristics and the university's strengths based on the manpower demand of the local industry.
Based on the accumulated industry-academia education foundation, they are leading modular education covering drone principles, modeling, HW, SW, and services.
Each participating university is in charge of subcommittees: security logistics (Dankook University), cultural contents (Dongseo University), smart convergence (Sunmoon University), digital health (Yonsei University Wonju), and global cooperation (Mongolian National University). They will continuously expand connections with regional participating universities and industry institutions, and promote ▲development and dissemination of drone technology education programs, ▲planning of industry-academia-research R&BD pilot projects, ▲establishment of regional drone technology education infrastructure, and ▲creation of a drone technology education ecosystem.
