Shin Won-sik "Confirmed mutilation of murdered public official's body... Why can't they speak confidently?"
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Yeon-ju] The People Power Party's "Task Force (TF) for Investigating the Atrocities of North Korea Killing and Burning Our Citizens" announced on the 28th that they have reconfirmed the fact that the body of the public official killed by the North Korean military was mutilated during their visit to the Ministry of National Defense and the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
Shin Won-sik, a member of the People Power Party and part of the TF, wrote on his Facebook on the same day, "It was reconfirmed that (North Korea) dragged the victim around for three hours, the rope broke and was found again, and the body was mutilated by pouring oil on it," adding, "This was the same as the content disclosed to the media by Min Hong-chul, a member of the National Defense Committee from the Democratic Party."
Rep. Shin questioned, "They say 'North Korea did not mutilate the body,' but why can't the Ministry of National Defense confidently say that this is not true?" and "Why are the government and the ruling party remaining silent on this matter?"
He continued, "If it is certain that our citizen's body was mutilated, why is the Ministry of National Defense still continuing the search operation?" and "Why are they being swayed by North Korea's false explanations?"
