Daegu Fire Safety Headquarters Launches 'Public Officials Workplace Council' ... Official Channel for Improving Working Conditions
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Dong-wook] The Daegu Fire Safety Headquarters announced on the 28th that the 'Public Officials Workplace Council,' which serves as an official channel for improving the treatment and rights of affiliated fire officials, was launched on the 25th.
With the revision of the 'Act on the Establishment and Operation of Public Officials Workplace Councils' on June 11, fire officials who were previously unable to join workplace councils can now form and participate in them. The 'Daegu Fire Safety Headquarters Public Officials Workplace Council' elected Fire Captain Lee Byung-jin as its inaugural representative, formed a council of nine members, and recruited about 100 members to complete its establishment preparations.
At the launch ceremony on the 25th, Headquarters Chief Lee Ji-man presented the certificate of establishment to the Workplace Council. They also pledged mutual cooperation through the exchange of a partnership declaration. Additionally, time was allocated to hear employees' voices regarding improvements in working conditions, ways to enhance work capabilities, and handling of grievances.
