5·18 Archive Opens Special Exhibition "In Search of Lost Memories" on the 29th
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Yoon Jamin] The May 18 Democratic Movement Archives announced on the 28th that it will hold the opening ceremony of the special exhibition "In Search of Lost Memories," which allows visitors to feel the spirit of Gwangju citizens in 1980, at the archives on the 29th.
The special exhibition was first unveiled online from the 8th due to COVID-19, and has been held offline since the 22nd, continuing until the 28th of next month.
The exhibition is centered on materials produced by Gwangju citizens during the May 18 Democratic Movement in 1980 and consists of works by three female artists expressing the spirit of Gwangju. The participating artists are No Jeongsuk, Ju Hong, and Moon Seonhee, and the exhibition explanation is provided by curator Ko Gayeon, who planned the exhibition.
The operating hours are from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and inquiries can be made by contacting the May 18 Democratic Movement Archives.
