'Hanwha Forena Suncheon' 100% Sold Out from Sale to Contract
[Asia Economy Reporter Onyu Lim] Hanwha Construction announced on the 28th that ‘Hanwha Forena Suncheon,’ sold in the Seomyeon area of Suncheon, Jeollanam-do, was completely sold out within 5 days of the contract.
Hanwha Construction conducted contracts with the official winners of Forena Suncheon for three days starting from the 21st, followed by contracts with the backup winners for two days. During the 5-day contract period, 100% of the total 613 households were sold without any remaining units.
Hanwha Construction evaluated that "the complete sell-out of Forena Suncheon was a foreseeable result." According to the subscription website, the first-priority subscription reception for Forena Suncheon held on the 1st recorded an average competition rate of 48.04 to 1, with 18,831 applicants for 392 households (excluding special supply). The highest competition rate reached an astonishing 111.55 to 1.
This is considered an exceptionally high subscription rate, even considering the recent boom in the Suncheon housing market. A sales official said, “This reflects the high interest of local residents in Hanwha Construction’s premium brand ‘Hanwha Forena,’ which is entering Suncheon for the first time.”
In fact, Hanwha Construction made great efforts to complete Forena Suncheon as a regional landmark by applying differentiated products. Hanwha Construction plans to apply the ‘Forena Exterior Design,’ which makes the Forena brand recognizable just by looking at the exterior, from the entrance design of the complex to the building’s exterior colors, and will also equip various specialized designs and advanced systems.
Hanwha Construction has also completed three Forena complexes in Yeosu, which shares the same living area as Suncheon, establishing them as regional landmarks. With the complete sell-out of Forena Suncheon, Forena is evaluated as the most preferred brand in the Yeosu-Suncheon area.
Last year, the large-scale residential-commercial complex ‘Forena Yeosu Ungcheon,’ consisting of 1,781 apartments and 188 officetels, was completed, and in February this year, the terrace house complex ‘Forena Yeosu Ungcheon The Terrace,’ with a total of 452 households, was occupied. Additionally, in June, the mixed complex ‘Forena Yeosu Ungcheon The Island,’ consisting of 348 residences, 180 officetels, and a hotel, was occupied, completing the Forena Town in the Yeosu Ungcheon district.
The Yeosu Forena Town, with about 3,000 households, is considered the most preferred brand apartment in the region, and its housing prices are also higher compared to other apartments in the surrounding areas. Furthermore, Hanwha Construction is recognized for advancing Yeosu’s residential culture by introducing various housing products such as residential-commercial apartments, officetels, terrace houses, and residences.

A Hanwha Construction official said, "We plan to continuously build landmark complexes not only in Seoul and the metropolitan area but also in regional hubs like Yeosu and Suncheon, thereby enhancing brand awareness and preference nationwide."
