Sangmyung University Hosts Public Art Exhibition 'Susaek Mulsak'... Until Next Month 9
[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunju Lee] Sangmyung University announced on the 28th that students majoring in Plastic Arts at the College of Culture and Arts are holding a public art exhibition titled "Susaek Mulsaek" at "Art Space Seo:ro" in Eunpyeong-gu, Seoul.
This exhibition is part of "The Golden Age of Project Beat," involving 17 students majoring in Plastic Arts. The students were selected for the "Seoul Museum University Cooperation Public Art Project" sponsored by the Seoul Metropolitan Government. Through this project, the students observed residents' "memories" and "endless debates" for something better, focusing on the redevelopment area of Susaek-dong, Eunpyeong-gu, Seoul. They aimed to artistically explore methods of "letting go" and "welcoming" using various media. Additionally, they intend to diversify the unilateral perception of redevelopment, seek ways to properly let go of the past rather than obsess over it, and provide an opportunity for people living brightly to find their own colors.

The exhibition runs until October 9 and is closed on Mondays and Chuseok day. It is open for viewing from 1 PM to 7 PM and is conducted with thorough quarantine measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
