95 New COVID-19 Cases... Below 100 for Two Consecutive Days
[Asia Economy Reporter Hyungsoo Park] The Central Disease Control Headquarters announced on the 27th at midnight that 95 new cases of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) were confirmed domestically. Of these, 73 were locally transmitted and 22 were imported cases. The total number of confirmed cases has increased to 23,611.
The number of new confirmed cases remained below 100 for two consecutive days but increased by 34 from 61 cases the previous day.
Since the beginning of this month, the spread of COVID-19 has somewhat slowed down. The daily number of new confirmed cases stayed in double digits for three consecutive days from the 20th to the 22nd. However, it exceeded 100 again for three days from the 23rd to the 25th.

The number of new confirmed cases rose to 441 on the 27th of last month due to cluster infections in the Seoul metropolitan area, then gradually decreased to the 300s and 200s. From the 3rd to the 19th, the daily new cases remained in the 100s for 17 consecutive days.
