According to the Hamyang Fire Station on the 23rd, at around 4:49 PM that day, a taxi carrying one passenger fell 15 meters down from a bridge in front of the Daebongsan Healing Valley management office.
Firefighters who rushed to the scene rescued one passenger (69) and the taxi driver (67) about 20 minutes later and transported them to the hospital, but the taxi driver died after about three hours. The passenger is reported to be in stable condition.
It is known that this location has no guardrails and only a lava cone warning sign indicating danger.
