Gyeonggi-do Office of Education Safety Education Center to Open on the 24th
[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Gyeonggi Province's first safety experience facility, the 'Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education Safety Education Center,' will open on the 24th.
The Gyeonggi Office of Education announced that it will broadcast the opening ceremony of the Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education Safety Education Center live online through the YouTube channel 'Gyeonggi Office of Education TV' on the same day.
The Safety Education Center was built on a 16,574㎡ site within the Yangju-si Gwangjeok-myeon Sports Park, with a total project cost of 26.1 billion KRW. It has a total floor area of 7,616㎡ and is a three-story building above ground.
The Safety Education Center offers experiential programs in various fields including daily safety, traffic safety, outdoor safety, student safety, emergency response, and future safety. Any students, faculty members, or families in the province can apply for safety experience programs.
The Gyeonggi Office of Education decided to determine the full-scale operation date of the Safety Education Center considering the COVID-19 situation.

Cho Seong-rae, Director of the Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education Safety Education Center, explained, "The Safety Education Center is Gyeonggi Province's first comprehensive safety facility equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and the latest safety items, and it will play a key role in safety education."
