Muan-gun Operates 'COVID-19 Response Disaster Safety Countermeasures Headquarters' During Chuseok Period
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Seo Young-seo] Muan-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Kim San) announced on the 22nd that it will operate a Disaster Safety Countermeasures Headquarters to prepare for the resurgence of COVID-19 during the Chuseok holiday period.
The county first designated the period from the 22nd to the 29th, before the holiday, as an intensive quarantine period and decided to implement focused quarantine measures for vulnerable facilities and inspect compliance with quarantine regulations mainly at workplaces with a high risk of infection spread.
Major quarantine rules before the holiday include resting at home during this holiday, keeping physical distance but staying close in heart by making check-in calls, refraining from grave trimming and visiting, and using grave trimming proxy services. These are being widely promoted through banners, electronic display boards, and village broadcasts.
Additionally, during the holiday period, the Disaster Safety Countermeasures Headquarters situation room will be operated to respond to emergencies, and dedicated personnel for fever checks will be assigned at the main entrance of the Yudal Park Cemetery enshrinement facility and the Doripo coast to strengthen quarantine in vulnerable areas.
