Gangnam-gu Ranks First Among Basic Local Governments in Comprehensive Building Administration Evaluation
Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport Scores High in Building Owner Satisfaction and Low Complaint Rates... Best Among 25 Autonomous Districts in Seoul
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Gangnam-gu (District Mayor Jeong Soon-gyun) was selected as the top basic local government (1st place) in the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport’s ‘2020 Comprehensive Evaluation of Building Administration’ conducted across 243 local governments nationwide.
The building administration evaluation is a system in which the Ministry of Land annually comprehensively assesses all local governments nationwide on building administration, including safety, maintenance appropriateness, and expertise, to promote sound operation of building administration.
Gangnam-gu received high scores in this evaluation, which focused on public satisfaction with building permits and a low rate of civil complaints, ranking first among the 25 autonomous districts of Seoul.
In addition, the district proved its building administration capabilities befitting the ‘Prestigious Gangnam’ by receiving good scores in evaluation indicators such as ▲pre-certification achievements for zero-energy public buildings ▲public building green remodeling project achievements.
