Orion Donates 10,000 Special Gift Sets to Military Personnel in Honor of Armed Forces Day

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Seon-ae] Orion Group announced on the 22nd that it will sponsor 10,000 gift boxes worth a total of 100 million KRW containing Orion products for the armed forces in celebration of the 72nd Armed Forces Day.
On the 21st, Lee Kyung-jae, CEO of Orion, and Hyun Chang-hoon, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces Day Event Planning Team, held a 'Military Support Goods Delivery Ceremony' at the Icheon Special Warfare Command. The gift sets were specially made for the soldiers and included popular Orion snacks such as 'Choco Pie Jeong', 'Dr. You Protein Bar', 'Taste of the Sun Sun', 'Swing Chip', and 'Whale Snack'. Orion has been providing 10,000 gift boxes every year on Armed Forces Day for four consecutive years since 2017.
Orion continues various activities to boost the morale of the armed forces. In 2018, it signed a 'Military Welfare and Employment Support Agreement' with the Ministry of National Defense and delivered 110,000 special Choco Pies with designs supporting the military to trainees at the military recruit training center. In addition, Orion spares no effort in supporting various activities such as sponsoring military personnel and major military events, providing sports and cultural events and content, supporting employment for discharged soldiers, supplying Orion products to the ARC unit stationed in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and delivering 1,000 basketballs to the Army 1st Corps.

An Orion official said, “We continue our sponsorship to express our gratitude to the armed forces who are devoted day and night to national security and territorial defense,” adding, “We will continue sponsorship activities that raise the morale of the armed forces and spread Orion’s culture of Jeong (affection).”
