DGB Life Launches Digital Insurance... Also Releases Exclusive Online Insurance
Maximizing Customer Accessibility and Convenience Without the Hassle of App Installation by Linking with DGB Saengmyeong Homepage
[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Hyung-gil] DGB Life announced on the 21st that it will launch digital insurance that allows customers to easily and conveniently purchase insurance online by themselves, along with dedicated products.
DGB Life's digital insurance is characterized by high accessibility, enabling customers to complete insurance enrollment on a webpage linked to the homepage without the hassle of installing a separate app. Through partnerships with KakaoPay and KCB Credit Information, the convenience of identity verification and information input procedures has also been maximized.
Additionally, to allow customers to select the optimal coverage plan that suits them, a ‘My Own Plan’ feature was established, enabling users to compare various options by changing them beyond the basic recommended plan. To prevent incomplete sales during the digital subscription process, a complete sales monitoring procedure is included within the enrollment process to strictly check whether the product is sold completely and to pursue customer satisfaction.
The digital insurance interface is designed with multiple UIs featuring different wording and designs to appear according to the customer's preferences. Going forward, the company plans to continuously track and analyze actual user inflow routes, gender, and age group usage patterns to provide an optimized customer experience reflecting customer behavior patterns.
In line with the launch of this digital insurance, DGB Life also released the industry's first simple underwriting term insurance available for online enrollment, called ‘Sesang Ganpyeon Term Insurance’. This product significantly reduces the disclosure obligations to three items at the time of insurance enrollment, making it possible for patients with pre-existing conditions, who are often excluded from coverage, to prepare guaranteed assets through simple underwriting. Customers can design and enroll directly without going through an agent, and unlike whole life insurance, they can set the coverage period as needed, making the premiums reasonable.
They also introduced the ‘Wish Log’ service reflecting the product’s characteristics. This service is a kind of digital time capsule based on the essence of life insurance, where the insured person's loved ones receive the insurance payout upon the insured's death. It is designed not only to prepare for the economic crisis of the insured's family due to unexpected death but also to allow the insured to leave messages or memories they want to convey to their loved ones in advance. Messages can be sent to future family members, acquaintances, and friends in three formats: letters, photos, and videos.
