TIPA Signs MOU with Angel Investment Association to Collaborate on Technology Startup Performance Expansion
Strengthening Follow-up R&D Support and Promoting Performance Expansion for Technology Startup Companies

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] The Korea Technology and Information Promotion Agency for SMEs (President Lee Jae-hong, hereinafter TIPA) and the Korea Angel Investment Association (Chairman Go Young-ha) have joined hands to strengthen follow-up support for research and development (R&D) of technology startup companies and to promote the dissemination of their achievements. TIPA and the Angel Investment Association announced on the 18th that they signed a 'Business Agreement for the Dissemination of Achievements of Technology Startup Companies' at TIPS Town in Yeoksam-dong, Seoul.
TIPS is a project that selects promising technology startup teams through privately-led accelerators, focuses support such as government R&D linked with angel investment, fosters startup teams aiming to enter the global market, and aims to improve the success rate of technology startups. Through this business agreement, TIPA will ▲link funding support for commercialization success of TIPS performing companies ▲provide export-linked programs such as securing export execution funds ▲certify 'Excellent R&D Innovative Products' developed through R&D ▲induce follow-up support to commercialization R&D projects for companies with demand and investment sources, and the Angel Investment Association will establish a close cooperation system between the two organizations by promoting ▲IR capability enhancement education ▲inviting VCs for investment attraction and networking targeting successful SME R&D companies.
