Global Caring Company ‘Arm’ Supports 13 System Semiconductor Innovation Companies
[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Hyewon] The Ministry of SMEs and Startups announced on the 17th that it has selected 13 innovative startups and venture companies that can utilize Arm's comprehensive design package, including design assets, education, mentoring, and prototype production.
In April, the Ministry of SMEs and Startups signed a partnership agreement with Arm and Seoul National University to support the growth of system semiconductor innovation companies.
As the first global compassionate company, Arm promised in April, together with the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and Seoul National University, to support design packages, activate global technology exchanges, and provide educational support to 10 domestic system semiconductor companies.
Since then, Arm has established a voluntary win-win program called ‘Flexible Access Startups’ to provide its excellent infrastructure free of charge to early-stage startups. The number of supported companies has expanded from the initial 10 to 13.
The selected companies include ‘DeeperAI,’ the first domestic company supplying deep learning-based video recognition technology with its own developed AI chip, and ‘Mobilint,’ an intelligent semiconductor design company composed of personnel with excellent academic paper achievements.
Also included are ‘Padu,’ an SSD semiconductor manufacturing company founded by graduate students from Seoul National University, and ‘DeepX,’ an AI semiconductor solution company with excellent awards such as the 2019 Korea Technology Innovation Award.
