Renault Samsung QM6 LPe, No.1 in LPG Passenger Car Sales in the First Half of This Year
[Asia Economy Reporter Kiho Sung] Renault Samsung Motors' QM6 LPe sold a total of 15,155 units in the first half of 2020, ranking first in sales among all LPG passenger cars sold domestically.
According to the Korea Automobile Manufacturers Association and Renault Samsung Motors, the total sales volume of LPG passenger cars in the domestic market from January to June this year was 58,126 units, accounting for 7.2% of the total passenger car market (807,722 units). This represents a 13% increase compared to the same period last year.
As of the first half of this year, there are a total of eight LPG passenger car models sold domestically: one light car, one compact car, four mid-size cars, and two mid-large cars. The Renault Samsung QM6 LPe, classified as a mid-size vehicle, is also the only LPG sports utility vehicle (SUV) across all segments in the domestic market.
