Pohang City Designates Officials for Elderly and Disabled Facilities During Chuseok Holiday... "Emergency System"
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Dong-wook] Pohang City announced that from the 16th to October 10th, welfare bureau officials will be designated as heads of elderly and disabled welfare facilities to actively prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
The city has assigned 41 welfare bureau employees as responsible officials to 42 elderly facilities and 21 disabled facilities, maintaining an emergency system to prevent the spread of COVID-19. During the Chuseok holiday period, families of residents in social welfare facilities will be informed of the prohibition on visits, outings, and overnight stays, and strict inspections will be conducted on the control of external visitors.
In addition, the city will continuously check whether infection control officers are designated for each facility, hygiene management, and confirmation of suspected symptoms among residents, while sharing quarantine information with facility personnel to jointly respond to COVID-19 prevention.
