Police Hospital Operates COVID-19 Metropolitan Area Residential Treatment Center

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Gwan-joo] On the 16th, the Police Hospital announced that it has started operating a 'Living Treatment Center,' a quarantine treatment facility for mild COVID-19 patients in the metropolitan area, at the SK Academy located in Yongin-si, Gyeonggi Province.
The Police Hospital appointed Emergency Medical Center Director Joo Jun-beom as the operation head and deployed medical staff including specialists, nurses, and radiologists related to treatment. It is responsible for medical support roles such as providing medical equipment and pharmaceuticals, waste disposal and management, and establishing IT systems.
The metropolitan Living Treatment Center operated by the Police Hospital can accommodate about 200 people. Inside the Living Treatment Center, there are specimen collection rooms and X-ray examination rooms, and medical equipment such as defibrillators, emergency treatment kits, and oximeters are installed to respond to emergency situations.

A Police Hospital official said, "The Police Hospital is designated as a National Safe Hospital (Type A) and operates a respiratory patient-only outpatient clinic and a COVID-19 screening clinic, making every effort to prevent infection and spread of COVID-19."
