Yeosu Gwangyang Port Corporation Conducts Regional Customized Social Contribution Activities for Chuseok
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Hyung-kwon] Yeosu Gwangyang Port Authority (President Cha Min-sik, hereinafter referred to as the Authority) announced on the 15th that it will carry out social contribution activities for vulnerable groups and welfare facilities in the region that need love and sharing in celebration of Chuseok, the traditional Korean holiday.
The Authority explained that on this day, it conducted region-customized social contribution activities by providing in-kind support worth about 30 million won to approximately 300 vulnerable households and welfare facilities recommended by Gwangyang City and Yeosu City.
Since its establishment in 2011, the Authority has continued its holiday social contribution events for nine years. Considering social distancing due to COVID-19, it refrained from direct visits and delivered support through designated donations in a non-face-to-face manner.
The Authority plans to continuously support socially marginalized residents in the region to have a warm holiday through ongoing social contribution activities.
