[2021 Early Admission Special] Sejong University Selects Successful Candidates After Student Record Comprehensive Interview Exam
[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunju Lee] Sejong University will select a total of 1,711 students through early admission, which accounts for approximately 70.9% of the total number of recruits.
The application period is from the 25th to the 28th of this month. The early admission screening is divided into four categories: ▲ Student Record-Based Screening (Outstanding Student Record, Rural Students, Defense Systems Engineering, Aviation Systems Engineering) ▲ Comprehensive Student Record Screening (Creative Talent, Equal Opportunity, West Sea 5 Islands Students, Social Contribution and Consideration, Specialized High School Graduates Currently Employed) ▲ Essay Excellence ▲ Practical Skills and Special Talents (Practical Excellence, Arts and Physical Education Talents). Sejong University does not set a minimum CSAT score requirement for all categories except for the Essay Excellence screening, Defense Systems Engineering special screening, and Aviation Systems Engineering special screening.
Among the Student Record-Based screenings, the Outstanding Student Record screening reflects 100% of the student record grades. It plans to recruit 402 students, which is 58 fewer than last year. For the Defense Systems Engineering special screening and Aviation Systems Engineering special screening, 28 and 17 freshmen will be selected respectively in this year's early admission. The first stage of the screening method is based on 100% student record grades, and the second stage consists of the first stage results and a screening conducted by the Army and Air Force Headquarters.
The Comprehensive Student Record screening consists of Creative Talent (547 students), Equal Opportunity (63 students), West Sea 5 Islands Students (3 students), Social Contribution and Consideration (20 students), and Specialized High School Graduates Currently Employed special screening (2 within quota, 107 outside quota).
Since the eligibility requirements vary by screening type, it is necessary to carefully review them before applying.
The Comprehensive Student Record screening evaluates documents mainly based on school activities, including student records and self-introduction letters, assessing academic ability, major suitability, creativity and potential for development, and character comprehensively. Afterwards, an interview is conducted to select successful candidates. For the College of Software Convergence, an in-depth interview is held, consisting of a presentation on a topic given on the day and a Q&A linked to the comprehensive document evaluation. Other colleges conduct general interviews.
