The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism announced on the 15th that it had finally selected the Gaehangjang Street area in Jung-gu, Incheon City as the pilot site for the 2020 Smart Tourism City project in collaboration with the Korea Tourism Organization.
The Smart Tourism City pilot project selects specific tourist zones and utilizes advanced technologies related to the Fourth Industrial Revolution to provide differentiated services and experiences to tourists in those areas.
It offers services that enable quick and convenient reservation, payment, and transportation within tourist sites, and uses advanced technology to provide experiences that allow visitors to enjoy the history and culture of the sites.
