Martial Arts, '4th Kim Young-se Startup Design Audition' Held
[Asia Economy Reporter Hwang Yoon-joo] The Korea International Trade Association (KITA) and Inno Design announced the final selection of 10 domestic startups to receive support such as design consulting, investment, and overseas expansion through the "4th KITA-Kim Young-se Startup Design Audition."
The audition, held on the 10th at the COEX Startup Branch, featured 15 companies that passed the document screening out of 66 startups in the digital technology sector competing. The judging panel included Lee Dong-gi, Head of Innovation Growth Division at KITA, Kim Young-se, Chairman of Inno Design, Joo Young-seop, former Commissioner of the Small and Medium Business Administration, and Seo Jeong-ho, CEO of Design Accelerator Lab (DXL-Lab).
The 10 startups finally selected include IMTech, which possesses technology to metallize plastic; CoxSpace, a ring-shaped wearable 3D gesture mouse; and Saintio, a lithium-ion secondary battery ultra-fast charger. These startups will receive follow-up support such as design consulting, joint development and investment in products and solutions, overseas expansion through Silicon Valley in the U.S., and network connections.
Kim Young-se, Chairman of Inno Design, said, "We welcome the challenge of digital startups that can realize their dreams through design," adding, "With Inno Design's unique know-how accumulated over many years in Silicon Valley, we want to enhance the design competitiveness of domestic startups and contribute to their globalization."

Lee Dong-gi, Head of Innovation Growth Division at KITA, stated, "We will collaborate and provide services in various fields that can promote startups' overseas market development, not just design."
