90s Female COVID-19 Patient Dies in Gwangju... 3 More Confirmed Cases
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] A woman in her 90s who was confirmed positive for COVID-19 in Gwangju passed away on the 11th.
This death marks the third fatality following Gwangju cases number 112 on July 16 and number 76 on July 19.
According to Gwangju Metropolitan City, the woman in her 90s, confirmed as case number 388, who was diagnosed positive on the 1st and hospitalized at Chonnam National University Hospital, died around 3 p.m. that day.
This confirmed patient was linked to Seongnim Baptist Church and developed symptoms while in self-quarantine, receiving treatment as a severe case at Chonnam National University Hospital since the 1st.
As of 6 p.m. that day, three additional confirmed cases were reported in Gwangju. They tested positive at the Health and Environment Research Institute and were classified as Gwangju cases 473 to 475.
Cases 473 and 474 reside in Juwol-dong, Nam-gu, and case 475 resides in Yongdu-dong, Buk-gu; all had contact with case 470, and their movement paths are under investigation.
