Hansung University Graduate School of Defense Science Hosts Seminar on 'Improvement Measures for the Reserve Forces Retention System'
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Hyun-joo] Hansung University Graduate School of Defense Science announced on the 11th that it will hold a "Joint Online Seminar" on the 12th using the real-time video conferencing system Webex, in collaboration with the Korean Society for Administrative Reform. This seminar will focus on "Improvement Measures for the Reserve Forces Retention System," a topic raised amid the increasing importance of reserve forces due to the decline in military service personnel caused by low birth rates and the promotion of Defense Reform 2.0, while some reservists are exempted from mobilization and training, raising issues of preferential treatment. Due to COVID-19, all participants, including panelists, graduate students, and members of the Korean Society for Administrative Reform, will participate in real-time discussions in the Webex online meeting room, and the seminar content will be recorded as a video and shared online with participants who find it difficult to attend in person.
