[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] Gwangju Metropolitan City announced on the 11th that it has imposed 136.1 billion won in regular property tax for September on land and housing.
By autonomous district, the amounts are 14 billion won for Dong-gu, 31.8 billion won for Seo-gu, 17.3 billion won for Nam-gu, 28.3 billion won for Buk-gu, and 44.7 billion won for Gwangsan-gu.
Property tax is a local tax imposed in July and September each year on real estate owners as of June 1.
The September regular tax applies to land and housing portions exceeding 200,000 won (1/2), with the payment deadline being the 5th of next month, the day after the Chuseok holiday.
For taxpayer convenience, payments can be made at ATMs of all banks nationwide using passbooks, cash cards, or credit cards even without a tax notice. Additionally, payments can be made without visiting financial institutions by using internet banking of the bank, Wetax, or ARS.
