Dogong Yangsan Rest Area, Coffee Corner and Restaurant Area Receive 'Very Good' and 'Excellent' Hygiene Ratings from MFDS
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kang Woo-kwon] Korea Expressway Corporation's Yangsan Rest Area on the Seoul-bound Gyeongbu Expressway announced on the 11th that its coffee corner received a 'Very Excellent' certification in the restaurant hygiene rating evaluation conducted by the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety. In the same evaluation, all corners of the dining area received an 'Excellent' certification.
The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety operates a hygiene rating system for food service establishments at rest areas nationwide to assess hygiene levels. Yangsan Rest Area has thoroughly managed all processes of distribution, including food preparation and raw material intake, as well as hygiene management of cooking staff at each corner: coffee, Korean food, Western food, udon, and ramen.

A rest area official stated, "Amid concerns over the resurgence of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), as a key facility to block community infections, we are making every effort to maintain strict quarantine measures without any negligence," and added, "We will do our utmost to create a hygienic environment where customers can rest comfortably."
