KMA Collaborates with Universities for Education Utilizing 'Weather and Climate Big Data'
Participation of 6 Departments from 3 Universities Nationwide
[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunju Lee] The Korea Meteorological Administration announced on the 11th that it will operate a 'Meteorological Climate Big Data Utilization Education' program for two months.
The program is conducted as a 3-credit course within the regular curriculum of universities and as special lectures tailored to the demands of each university. Participating universities include the Department of Geography Education and College of Engineering at Catholic Kwandong University, the Department of Statistics and Department of Atmospheric Environment Science at Pusan National University, and the Department of Climate Energy System Engineering for both undergraduate and graduate levels at Ewha Womans University. The program has expanded from 2 universities last year to 3 universities and 6 departments this year.
