Goheung-gun, Emergency Care Support for Youth After-School Academy
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Kim Chunsu] The Youth After-School Academy at the Youth Culture House in Goheung-gun, Jeollanam-do, announced on the 10th that it is continuously providing emergency care support to participating youths to minimize care gaps due to temporary closure aimed at preventing and containing the spread of COVID-19.
The Youth After-School Academy supports counseling and daily life management for parents and youths through phone calls and messages during the closure period.
In addition, it is conducting self-development management using online career and job education materials for youths, and since March, it has been delivering ready-to-eat meals weekly to homes, checking the health status of youths, and guiding COVID-19 prevention measures.
Parents who received the ready-to-eat meals and infection prevention supplies expressed their gratitude, saying, "We appreciate the support of snacks and daily necessities during these difficult times."
A county official stated, "We will continue to provide support for the health and safety of youths participating in the Youth After-School Academy, and we hope to overcome the COVID-19 crisis soon and return to normal."
