Interpark Launches Pilot Operation of 'Online Green Store' Exclusive Section
Over 2,000 Environmentally Certified Products Including Kitchenware and Home Appliances Presented... Up to 20% Discount Coupons Available
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] Interpark announced on the 10th that it will pilot operate a dedicated 'Online Green Store' section composed of green products (environmental label certified) in collaboration with the Ministry of Environment and the Korea Environmental Industry & Technology Institute (hereinafter referred to as the Institute) until the end of the year.
The 'Online Green Store' was established to provide an environment where green products can be more easily identified and purchased online as social distancing has spread due to the recent novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19), leading to an increase in online shopping.
Through the dedicated 'Online Green Store' section, Interpark will showcase a total of about 2,000 environmental label certified products including kitchenware, home appliances, and office supplies. Additionally, to commemorate this pilot operation, an event offering discount coupons of up to 20% will be held.
In the dedicated section, customers can easily check the environmental improvement effects of the products when purchasing green products through the 'Green Product Information System' link. Shim Seong-yong, Interpark's partnership marketing manager, said, "Starting with this pilot operation of the online green store dedicated section, we plan to continuously develop various eco-friendly promotions together with the Ministry of Environment and others," adding, "We hope this will help spread a culture where more consumers recognize and purchase green products."
