Player Mun Seong-min Sponsors 3 Million Won Worth of Goods to Middle School Players by Purchasing 'Stinger Meister'
[Asia Economy Reporter Kiho Sung] Kia Motors announced on the 10th that Moon Sung-min, a leading star of South Korea's men's volleyball, participated in the 'Stinger Sports Fellowship' program operated for South Korean sports officials.
The 'Stinger Sports Fellowship' is a program run by Kia Motors as part of its social contribution activities, aiming to promote the sustainable growth of Korean sports by encouraging senior athletes to share with their juniors. When a sports person affiliated with the Korea Professional Sports Association purchases a 'Stinger Meister,' they receive a discount of 500,000 KRW and can deliver sponsorship goods worth a total of 3 million KRW to their alma mater or juniors.
Moon Sung-min, a player for the Hyundai Capital Skywalkers volleyball team, sympathized with the program's purpose and purchased the Stinger Meister '2.5 Gasoline Turbo model' to participate as a promotional ambassador for the Stinger Sports Fellowship. Moon selected the Ansan Bono Middle School volleyball team, coached by his longtime colleague and close friend Coach Jo Young-sung, with whom he has played volleyball since childhood, as the beneficiary of the Stinger Sports Fellowship program. Through this, the volleyball team received volleyball equipment worth a total of 3 million KRW.
Moon Sung-min said, "The Stinger Meister has been a model I was interested in since its launch, and I deeply sympathized with the purpose of the Stinger Sports Fellowship program, which allows me to share with sports juniors, so I decided to participate in the program." He added, "What made me happiest was being able to help my colleagues and juniors, and I hope many professional athletes will participate in the future to support juniors who are training under difficult circumstances due to COVID-19."
