[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Gangbuk-gu (Mayor Park Kyum-soo) will operate non-face-to-face lifelong education courses for Gangbuk-gu residents starting in October.
The application period is from September 14 to October 8.
The district plans to conduct the courses using web video conferencing programs such as Zoom to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).
The four courses will start sequentially from October 27 and will be held once a week for a total of 8 weeks until December 18.
The courses include ▲ Writing and Drawing to Look Into Myself (Tuesdays 2:00?4:10 PM) ▲ Gangbuk Smartphone Photographer (Wednesdays 2:00?4:00 PM) ▲ Handmade Crochet Interior (Thursdays 2:00?4:00 PM) ▲ Ukulele Academy to Learn and Teach (Fridays 2:00?4:00 PM), totaling four courses.
The classes will be led by Bonghyun, an essay writer and illustrator; Park Sung-wook, who has published photography lectures on Naver Travel Plus; Do Hee-sun, current head of Fromus Sewing Workshop; and Jung Woo-yeol, current head of Makana Ukulele.
The district stated that the courses were planned considering educational demand, learning difficulty, and post-education applicability. As the learning environment has changed to a non-face-to-face format, the aim is to operate user-centered programs to increase educational satisfaction.
Those wishing to enroll can check the recruitment guidelines for each course on the Gangbuk-gu Neulbaeumteo website and submit an application form via email (lifelongedu4u@gangbuk.go.kr).
The number of students selected per course is 10. Final selection results will be individually notified on October 15.
