Prosecutors Conduct Search and Seizure at LIG... Tax-Related Investigation
[Asia Economy Reporter Baek Kyunghwan] The prosecution has launched a search and seizure operation targeting LIG Group.
According to the legal community on the 8th, the Tax Crime Division of the Seoul Northern District Prosecutors' Office (Chief Prosecutor Han Taehwa) sent prosecutors and investigators to the headquarters office of LIG Co., Ltd., the holding company of LIG Group located in Jongno-gu, Seoul, to secure tax-related documents.
It is reported that the prosecution initiated the investigation this year following a complaint from the National Tax Service. Last year, the National Tax Service had launched a special tax audit on LIG Group.
