The expectation that BTS, as the first Korean pop music artist to top the US Billboard ‘HOT 100 Chart,’ could benefit from this has influenced the stock price.
On the 8th at 11:51 AM, Chorokbaem was trading at 1,945 won, up 7.76% from the previous day.
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Culture and Tourism Institute’s Cultural Industry Research Center announced that they estimated the total economic ripple effect caused by BTS’s agency Big Hit Entertainment’s sales scale, the Bank of Korea’s input-output table, Korea Customs Service’s import-export trade statistics, and Google Trends search volume for ‘Dynamite’ to be 1.7 trillion won.

Within the Democratic Party of Korea, discussions on partial amendments to the Military Service Act were also seen as a positive factor.
